Fantomen Kids

The Phantom’s kids get their own album

In the Egmont album The Phantom Kids you can follow the adventures of the masked crime-fighter’s two children. Kit and Heloise are both training to become the 22nd Phantom in the series.

Generation after generation has read and loved The Phantom. With this new album, Egmont is aiming to charm slightly younger readers. The Phantom Kids have previously appeared in the Phantom comic, but they are now getting an album of their own.

“The album targets children in the 8–12 age group,” says editor and scriptwriter Mikael Sol.

In the album, Kit and Heloise find themselves in a number of dangerous situations but now have to manage without their father’s help. The twins are trained by Ituri, a new character in the world of The Phantom. She trains them to develop both their physique and empathy.

“We have great hopes for The Phantom Kids. People are naturally curious about Kit and Heloise, who both have a chance of becoming the next Phantom, which gives us a perfect basis for new, exciting adventures.”

The series is written by Jens Hansegård and Mikael Sol. Both have worked on The Phantom before, but also on other comic series. Hansegård, for instance, has written scripts for Donald Duck and Bamse. Mikael Sol edits the Phantom comic. Artist Jan Bielecki has been drawing The Phantom for several years.

“We have great hopes for The Phantom Kids. People are naturally curious about Kit and Heloise, who both have a chance of becoming the next Phantom, which gives us a perfect basis for new, exciting adventures,” says Mikael Sol.
